Paint Outs are outings in El Dorado County for artists to sketch, paint or photograph. These are open to all artists and photographers. PAA members and non-members are welcome.

Announcing Placerville Arts Association’s
First Annual Plein Air Art Competition
April 26, 2025
at Greenstone Country Barn, in Placerville.
We will meet at Greenstone Country Barn in the morning. This beautiful, gated community has three lakes and a barn, each with picnic tables and restrooms (Gate code will be provided.) Artists are also welcome to paint outside of the Greenstone community, which is located near Coloma and the American River.
This competition will be open to all artists in the region. Membership to Placerville Arts Association is not required.
Because this is our first plein air competition the event is limited to the first 25 artists who register for the event. The call to enter will begin January 15 and end with the enrollment of the first 25 artists or March 31, 2025.
The judge for the show is Patris, owner of Patris Studio and Art Gallery in Sacramento and frequent instructor at the Crocker Art Museum. Her website is: Patris Miller Fine Art
