2023 Upcoming Paint Out Locations

Wednesday, April 12, 9 am until 1 pm
Wakamatsu Farm,
941 Cold Springs Rd, Placerville
Several things to paint or photograph including areas around the large pond, the livestock, the garden.
This historic site is maintained by the American River Conservancy (ARC). There is normally a $10 per person donation requested. ARC has agreed to a single fee of $100 when our group visits, no matter how many artists we have. I will pay them with a personal check. You are then asked to pay whatever you can directly to me as reimbursement. If donations collected from you amount to over $90, they will then be directed to ARC. Please consider a donation.
Directions: From Placerville, take Cold Springs Road North. Wakamatsu Farm is on the right, about 5 miles up Cold Springs, past Gold Hill Road.
Thursday, May 25 9.a.m until 1 p.m.
Down Home Farm,
100 Whitcomb Way, Placerville
Joyce Martin, PAA member and owner of this property, says she can't promise the tulips will be blooming, but even if they are not, this location is a plein air painter's dream. The property boasts a variety of subject matter, from the gardens, a pond, bridge, antique decor and geese. Many of our artists have visited in the past but always enjoy returning for another opportunity to paint here!
Directions: From Hwy 50, take El Dorado Road exit and go south about 1 mile. Turn right in Whitcomb Way (immediately after Silver Lode Dr. and before Mother Lode Drive). Take Whitcomb to the end.
