Placerville Arts Association (PAA) Placerville Arts Association promotes the creative work of its members, provides opportunities for sharing ideas among artists, and invites public interest through a variety of visual art events.
Placerville Arts Association provides community outreach programs by offering yearly monetary grants to local school art programs.
Placerville Arts Association is the oldest non-profit art group in El Dorado County in continuous operation since the early 1960s.
The current membership includes both artists and patrons of the arts.
Call to Artists
Join us for an art exhibition at three wineries in Somerset California.
June 29 and 30.
We will set up artist booths at Mellowood Vineyard, Mirador Winery and Golden Leaves Vineyard and Winery for a great weekend in the vines. This art exhibition will include fine art, jewelry, sculpture and functional ceramics, wood working, assemblage, photography and digital artwork. Please inquire about other types of art to be considered.
This is an outdoor event and artists will provide their own canopy popups and fixtures. A shared canopy popup will be available for artists that do not want to occupy an entire booth. Artist’s in the shared canopy popup will provide their own fixtures.
The event will take place on June 29 and 30 from Noon to 5 PM daily. We will have access to set up on June 28 and take down on July 1. There is no charge to the participating artists.
To reserve a booth for this event, email placervilleartsassociation@gmail.com, include "Mellowood + 2 in June" in the subject line. Call Lynell Phillips at 415-793-2134 with questions. Reserve early, we expect this event to fill up.

Next Organizational Meeting
for Studio Tour
April 23 at Noon
The next meeting for the PAA Artists Studio Tour will be at the conference room at Raley's in Placerville at 166 Placerville Drive at Noon on April 23, 2024.
We will also offer Zoom for this meeting. Details below. If you plan to participate in this year's tour, we encourage you to attend the organizational meetings to learn more about the tour and to see how you can help promote the tour. This year, we need a graphic artist to assist with the brochure. We have used Print Shop in the past to put together the brochure. If you use Print Shop that will make it easier, but if you have other preferred software, that works for us.

Art Lunch
May 8, noon
Who’s ready for another Relish Burger? Join us for art lunch on Wednesday, May 8 at Noon at Relish Burger at 1000 White Rock Rd in El Dorado Hills. May should be great for another patio meet up and I’m expecting perfect weather. Art lunch is a great way to meet your fellow artists and enjoy a nice lunch. Join us on TUESDAY MORNINGS for ART TIME at the Placerville Senior Center! 937 Spring Street. We meet from 9 am - 1 pm in the Crafts Room. Come draw, paint, paste, share ideas about methods and materials, get suggestions, and just be around other artists. Come early, come late, stay all 4 hours, 4 minutes, or just stop by to say hello.
