PAA Spring Member Show

The 2024 Spring Member Show was a smashing success. Many thanks to everyone who participated, including artists and volunteers. It doesn’t happen without all of you!  We had a total of 107 entries in  eight categories. Cherie Hacker was our judge.  Richard Nederlof was awarded the Best of Show ribbon for his acrylic painting titled “Koi on Blue”.   Five pieces of art were sold; artists who sold work were Patty Sisneros, Gerry Litwin, Agi Gillespie, Lynell Phillips and Carolyn Cunningham. We are pleased that the Government Center continues to allow us to hang our shows in their beautiful atrium. We hear so many enthusiastic comments from the employees there who are excited to see us come in and say they’re sad when the work comes down. We also had a hugely positive response from community members visiting the building for other business. Over 130 people cast ballots for People’s Choice; we had to start tallying votes on Thursday, as the ballot box couldn’t hold any more! Carolyn Cunningham went home with the People’s Choice ribbon for her oil painting “Pacific Grove, California “.
