There is a "Passing Lane Ahead" sign at the west end of the pullout.

(no restrooms at site)

This working farm has a rose garden, picnic area, a picnic area and a farm store. Hopefully the fall leaves and pumpkins will be around too. We are asked to stay out of the orchards themselves for safety.

Directions: From Hwy 50, Placerville – Take the Spring St/Hwy 49 exit North – Heading towards Coloma. Go 3.2 miles and turn Left on Wallace Road. Take the scenic winding road 1.2 miles to Hooverville Orchards

 It’s a few minutes walk from the parking lot down a slight grade on a partially paved road so pack light.
Directions: About 4 miles past Coloma,
the turnoff is on the west side of the road just past a small creek overpass. Parking lot has a public restroom.

Joyce Martin invites us again to a Paint Out on her wonderful property. There are many subjects to choose from: a pond, bridge, gardens, antique decor, many flowers and probably ducks & geese. Plenty of outside space for social distancing.

 

Directions: From Hwy 50, take El Dorado Road exit south about a mile. Turn right on Whitcomb Way (which is parallel to Silver Lode Rd., and just before Mother Lode Dr.). Follow Whitcomb to the end #100 Down Home Farm.

It’s a great place to have a paint out and get some vegetables. There will be music by the group, Coloma Celtic. Bring your own chair for sitting and listening to the music (old time and Irish.) or paint.  

 

Directions: From Placerville, take Cold Springs Road about 7.5 miles to Coloma. Continue another 1.5 miles farther to Marshall Road and turn right. Go 4.8 miles to get to the park at 5041 Garden Valley Rd.
