The Placerville Arts Association is El Dorado County’s oldest non-profit art group in continuous operation since it was formed in the early 1960’s. The current membership of approximately 190 includes both artists and patrons of the arts.
The purpose of Placerville Arts Association is to promote visual arts in the local community through art shows, exhibitions, art demonstrations, workshops, scholarships and art oriented field trips.
Placerville Arts Association provides community outreach programs by offering yearly scholarships to graduating high school seniors pursuing art related careers; awarding monetary grants to elementary school art programs; and donating a scholarship grant to the Sugarloaf Student Art Camp.
Our annual Winter Member Show will be at the Government Center in Placerville from Monday, November 16th, through Friday, November 20th. Intake will be from 8:00am through 9:30am on the morning of the 16th. The judge is Sarma Karsierre of Consumes College. You many enter up to four pieces, including one miniature. HOLIDAY BRUNCH - DEC. 6TH
We're returning to the Cameron Park Country Club for our annual holiday brunch on December 6. The festivities will begin at 10:30am. We have been able to keep the price the same as last year, $20 per person. Advance reservations are required, with the deadline for receipt being November 30. Follow this link to print the form, fill it in, and mail it.
We are having a holiday art-gift exchange. It's optional, but if you'd like to participate, bring a small, wrapped piece of your original art. Size limits will be, 2D items no bigger than 8"X10", and 3D items 6" X 6".Turn it in at the reception table and you'll receive a ticket to select a gift from "under the tree." Then during the party each ticket holder will get a gift. This should be fun! Be sure to join in!
