Mother Lode Show Call for Entries
Mother Lode Website:
Mother Lode Show entries are welcome from April 6 to the deadline June 12. Start now with our online entry system with Smarter Entry.
The Smarter Entry online system is working very well for entering this year's show. Entry deadline is June 12. Have you entered? Don't pre-judge your own art work - go ahead and enter your favorite pieces. We encourage 3-D work as well as framed art. The website is: www.motherlodeshow.com Give it a try, fill out the form, use the pay options and upload your image(s). For the first year our fees for everyone will be the same, $35 for one or two entries and $10 each up to five entries, whether you are a PAA member or not. If you need assistance in using this online system, please contact us. We will be glad to answer questions and help you, even if you don't have a computer, our team can make it happen. Sylvia Coleman, Gloria Vernon and Lucia Rothgeb are in the Membership directory and ready to help.
A postcard created by Sylvia Coleman with a summary of the prospectus will be mailed to all who have entered in the last few years. Additional postcards are available for giveaway at art stores and other art groups. If you want to share some at your art group, they are available. The full prospectus is available and our new Mother Lode website .
Look in your most recent issue of Artist Magazine, Watercolor and also in Pastel Journal, turn to the "Classified" or Call for Entries or Call to Artists toward the back of the magazine. You should see our ad for the Mother Lode Show. We are already receiving entries from a wide range of locations.
We have a great time setting up for the show - this year it is July 31, 8:30-9 am to about 1pm (lunch included). Call Lucia at 530-676-3959. Helpers needed to set up the panels and lighting so it helps if you are tall.
Accepted/declined entries will be notified by email, with accepted entries receiving full delivery instructions by regular mail after mid week of July 6th. Art is received at the Shakespeare Club in Placerville on July 31 and Aug.1st.
Thanks for your participation! Additional questions or concerns, email me.
PAA ART TOUR 2015
It is time to prepare for the fall art tour which will be held the weekends of September 26/27 and October 3/4. Please join PAA in this annual event.
This year, we have established a little smaller perimeter which is Eastern Placerville, Diamond Springs-El Dorado, Cameron Park-Rescue and Coloma. If you are not within those areas and have not already arranged to share with someone, we will notify you which studios are available. In the past we have found that a lot of our visitors like to see several artists at one location but single studios are certainly welcome too. This will be handled by the date the application is received.
This is a rain or shine event and the fees are non-refundable. The due date for applications is June 1. The application fee is $80.00 for members of PAA and $105.00 for non-members with the option of applying $25.00 of that amount toward membership. If after all the costs are paid and there is a reasonable amount left over, it will be divided equally and refunded to each artist based on the $80.00.
For more information and an application form, please . If you have more questions, you may also contact Valerie Bye at email@example.com or 530-622-4111
