EL DORADO COUNTY
PAINT OUT
May 18th

Paint anywhere in El Dorado County and be part of an exhibit at Art Space Gallery in Placerville. See Flyer

Save the date – Saturday, May 18 – for a plein air event co-sponsored by EDAC and PAA, and scheduled to coincide with May’s third Saturday Placerville art walk. Artists will check-in at EDAC in the morning to receive a placard to display on their easels then disperse for a day of painting anywhere in El Dorado county. Bring your paintings back to EDAC for display in the gallery and mingle with other artists and the public. Your paintings should be attached to some sort of rigid support so that they can be displayed on easels. After the May 18 event the paintings will remain on display at EDAC for the rest of the month. EDAC is working with the county to further display the paintings at the county building where we hold our member shows. Showing at the county, however, is optional as the paintings need to be framed at that point. This promises to be not only a fun even but a good sales opportunity. We need volunteers to help the morning of May 18 for the artists’ check-in. If you’re interested, please call Kaaren Poole at 530 672-0943 or PAA coordinator for this event, Vesla Greenwood, at (530) 303-3258.

This is our first joint event with EDAC and we hope that you all will enjoy it!

GOLD COUNTRY ARTISTS GALLERY

Gold Country Artists Gallery is having a month-long special show in May entitled, "The Wakamatsu Art Show." In March, 2013, artists from Gold Country Artists Gallery fanned out over the American River Conservancy's Wakamatsu Tea and Silk Colony grounds to begin the process of creating various pieces of art from the views on that wonderful piece of property.

The result was a collaboration between the great folks of the American River Conservancy and Gold Country Artists Gallery and the production of many pieces of artwork that will be on display and for sale at Gold Country during the entire month of May, 2013, and at the Wakamatsu Tea and Silk Colony Farm Festival on Saturday, May 18.

In addition to The Wakamatsu Art Show, Gold Country will be featuring two artists during the month of May: Linda Soos and her stained glass and the photography of Soroush, with a reception for them on the Third Saturday evening in May (May 18).

GCA hopes you come by the Gallery and see these great pieces of art during the month of May and consider attending the Farm Festival at Wakamatsu on Saturday, May 18, and attending the Third Saturday ArtWalk on the evening of May 18 on Main Street in Placerville.

ELK GROVE ARTISTS 12TH ANNUAL JUNE SHOW

The Elk Grove Artists 12th annual June Show (Saturday, June 8), will be held in conjunction with the Elk Grove Chili Festival. This means that you will have an audience that will run into the thousands--that's anywhere from 5,000 to 10,000 folks who will stroll through the event and potentially become your customers.

If you contact me, I'll send you the vendor form to fill out. We have room for sixteen 10' x 10' booth spaces and this year you may share a space if you'd like. The deadline for entry is May 25th, but I strongly suggest getting it in earlier.

I will provide a map, once I've received your application/payment for the space. We will be located directly across the street from the chili festivities--a prime location. If you have any questions you may call me with questions. My number is 916-539-1716. I look forward to having you at our June art show.
